In today’s hectic retail pharmacy environment, most pharmacists cannot spend adequate time with patients to provide the care and support needed to fully understand medication. In this presentation, Dr. Panza will provide general education on medication. “Wine and Food Pairing” workshop with The Wine Education Institute
Wednesday, August 23 at 3 p.m.
“Wine and Food Pairing’” will cover techniques and recommendations on how to perfectly pair your favorite foods with the accurate wine. Unlike lectures, these workshops get participants actively involved in the learning process through activities, tastings, and group interaction. The Wine Education Institute, located in Westminster, Colo., is a professional wine and spirits education center, which provides courses and sommelier certifications for the Wine & Spirit Education Trust and Society of Wine Educators. Wine and light refreshments will be served.

“Senior Nutrition: Discovering Sources of Hidden Gluten” lecture with Carrie Weitzel, RD
Friday, August 25 at 2 p.m.
This lecture will cover hidden sources of gluten such as medications, sauces, and cosmetics, as well as how to safely eat at a restaurant while avoiding gluten. Weitzel is a registered dietitian and founder of Colorado Nutrition Counseling, LLC, where she specialties in diabetes and mental health nutrition. Refreshments will be served.

“Balance Matters” by Vital Wellness
Tuesday, August 29 at 2 p.m.
The “Balance Matters” program features a standardized fall risk assessment, information on fall awareness and home safety, and education on the benefits of exercise and therapy to help decrease potential fall risks. Vital Wellness is a home care provider delivering care and service to the greater Denver, Colo. area.

Wednesday, August 30 at 3 p.m.
Join Wallace Westfeldt, Fishing Acquisition Specialist with Front Range Anglers, for an overview of fly fishing the local front range of Colorado as well as destinations such as Kamchatka Russia, Kiribati Christmas Island, Belize, Yucatan, Cuba, Florida Keys, Texas and Louisiana. Wallace is a Boulder native and has been fly fishing around Colorado most of his life. Front Range Anglers, located in Boulder, Colo., is 100% dedicated to catch and release fly fishing locally and internationally. Wine and cheese will be provided.
